01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

When you want a meal that feels substantial without leaving you weighed down, Cafe and Dining Da-ism on a backstreet in Sendagaya is a welcome stop. The kitchen leans into plant-based ingredients and fermented seasonings, taking care to avoid the sense of ascetic compromise that can sometimes accompany health-focused dining.

From Whole-Wheat to Konjac Noodles

The noodle selection is diverse, featuring fragrant whole-wheat noodles in Vietnamese-style coriander broth, soupless abura soba, and vegan ramen served in a clean, light soup. For those mindful of calories, the base noodles made with soy flour and whole wheat can be swapped for konjac noodles, which are processed without any distinct odor. Refreshing seasonal options such as chilled noodles with sudachi citrus also appear, making it an easy choice when looking for something crisp and reviving.

Vibrant Buddha Bowls and Sweet Treats

The Buddha bowls, built on fifteen-grain rice accompanied by an array of side dishes, offer several directions depending on your mood: tender chicken or salmon marinated in shio-koji (fermented rice koji), a soy-and-mushroom keema curry scented with herbal spices, or a vegan tofu-lees-and-mushroom patty. More hearty rice bowls, including a roast beef bowl with beef hanging tender, are also available. For dessert or an afternoon pause, matcha konjac warabi-mochi lattes and chocolate soy pound cake—also convenient as a takeaway gift—round out the visit. Dogs are welcome both indoors and out, making for a relaxed, comfortable meal.
